A Taste Of Logic
Review From Seigneursdumetal

Translated from French

Steve Senes is the guitarist who uses his fingers to his car to vibrate. The kind of musician who uses his skills in various projects (Superswamp Heroes and Pale Horse) without ever being overbearing. And of course it does not stop there, devoted to the rank of superstar guitar player of the year 2009 with an experience solidified with 300 concerts a year in a wide variety of musical styles, this presents blond-evolution of theory, his solo project. A personal album in which this fellow has put everything he had. If some can do everything, others do not hesitate to delegate and the result is even more sublime. As henchman for mixing and recording, Steve has chosen Alex Perial. A man known in the area, having worked with Overkill, Testament, Anthrax, SOD ….

Joe Satriani, Yngwie Malmsteen are his main influences and it would not be a mistake to say that it is a serious challenger. A true master of his self-taught art, this cake is distilled by subtle pinching on a string of six, Steve presents us again. Concocted as would a magic potion made from stunning guitar solos sometimes epileptic dE-evolution of theory affects different styles (metal, jazz and funk). Inspired, his interpretations are fair and always consistent.

The alchemy that emanates from this record is as inexplicable as communicative and reflects the creativity of its author who constantly reinvents and with excitement. And what emerges is that energy, that great desire to play in every sense of the term without altering its times. The ability to hold a listener in suspense is not simple and yet Steve is able to do so with input from his only skill. Upon first listen, we know that any of the words and vocal line would have been superfluous.

When complexity is combined with the musical spirit when the blaze reached on each title is just breathtaking. His guitar turned up the heat and really comes to life with a complexity close to harmonic Steve Vai and Jason Becker. Steve reaches its most beautiful moments to capture the responses made by the wind and rustling.

It has only ten fingers, yet one could give him double. While the rest of the music scene playing out of tune, in a cacophony unspeakable, he knows what he does and we can only encourage him to continue in this way.
