A Taste Of Logic
Review from Rocking Music

“De-Evolution of Theory” is the solo album from instrumentalist Steve Senes, released on 8th November 2010.

Taking the listener on a wild ride through many styles and vibes of music, which include rock, metal, country, funk, R&B, world and even jazz, this is one of those albums on which everybody out there will find something to accompany any mood or scenario. Completely self-written, performed, produced, engineered and mixed by Senes, this album is an excellent showcase of his incredible talent.

‘Highball’ was probably my favourite track on the album; starting off with an oriental-sounding percussion melody, out of nowhere the most cutting, raunchy guitar melodies kick in, completely changing the direction in which I thought this song was heading. Getting evermore intricate, this one track in particular really showcased Senes’ diversity and attention to detail. It’s this kind of spontaneity that really sends shivers down my spine – top class!

It is sadly all too rare to find an album that is entirely instrumental and as such, there’s always the possibility that many music fans won’t give it a chance, preferring to choose something mainstream to which they can sing along; I hope from the bottom of my heart that both serious and casual music fans give this album a go because they sure as hell won’t regret it!
